Park – Urban Stillness

A neighbourhood playground on an ordinary afternoon: one child pausing at the top of a blue slide, another crouched in the sandbox, entirely absorbed. Behind them, mature trees and the flat blue-grey face of an apartment block — the everyday backdrop of a city childhood.

Light does most of the work here, falling in patches across the grass and softening the concrete. A painting about how much can happen in a very small square of green.
