Dress – Form and Flow

A young woman stands in the middle of a shop in a full white gown, seen from behind, caught in the pause before the mirror. Around her the shelves are stacked with colour — a red dress on a stand, folded fabric, a small teddy bear watching from a shelf.

The white of the skirt takes up almost half the canvas and holds all the light in the room. A painting about a very specific kind of moment: trying on a life that does not quite fit yet.
